Why Athletes Take Anabolic Steroids

Tag: The Golden Era of Bodybuildingjerving @ 7:00 pm

Why do athletes take steroids? Almost all steroid users are taking steroids because they believe it is the only way to develop muscle and strength. Further more, almost all bodybuilders are taken steroids because they want to get as much strength and size as they possibly can. In my own opinion, society today makes people think that to produce muscle and size, steroid use is mandatory. That is not the case, with hard work and determination, anything is possible, but who wants that when you can pretty much triple your size using steroids. Steroid is a drug, and like other drugs, people take them to escape from reality, and they enjoy what the drug does for them. I feel steroid is the same case. Steroid users like what the drug has done for their size and strength, and it has taken them away from the Nutritional athlete. Many readers who mearly read the various strength magazines are not fully aware that their “heroes,” who are illustrated on these pages are, more than likely, a product of anabolic-steroids. Just look at their progress. I relied on hard work, nutrition, proper training methos and rest to acquire slow, steady gains and build my physique through a process of years. Today, physique men may train for a year or two, find out about drugs and then skyrocket towards tremendous physical gains. how many physique men today were prominent a year or two ago ? If there is a drug scene in bodybuilding, why do the competitors take drugs ?This subject has been talked about for some time now in various articles and in various publications. Many conclusions have been arrived at concerning the health of the taker over a prolonged period of time and all seem to indicate that there is a very definite danger in the overall picture when taking large doses of tissue builders over a long period of time. But something else should also be admitted (even though the more intelligent thinking athletes repugnant the use of the drug) by one and all of the bodybuilding fraternity, that the only way to achieve the type of fantastic developement that we see in our top physique men today is to take the anabolic steroids. There may be one or two exceptions to this rule, but by and large this is true, and I think that by this time we are ready to admit this. There may be some “authorities” on muscle building who will swear that by hard work and proper nutrition, which includes gross quantities of protein, anyone with the proper bone structure etc. can build an equally sensational physique as the man on the steroids but they will have to show me to convince me !In today’s world, people enjoy entertainment and people want to win. Athletes are willing to do whatever it takes to win today. It’s been around since the 40’s; throw the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and now 2007. Steroids have taken sports to new levels, and it will only continue to be on the rise.It has been years that I have watched steroids take over bodybuilding, a sport that I love with all my heart. Bodybuilding is a daily commitment of practicing a healthy life style, which becomes a grounding force that promotes harmony and a strong sense of well-being.When viewing a bodybuilding contest today, I feel restless as I watch the competitors cross the stage in a posing routine that they are barely able to execute restricted by the huge appendages, which once were muscle. Modern media has promoted an image that has permeated the status in him. The human body was not built to resemble the expectations of today’s generation of bodybuilders. Society has become accustomed to seeing huge oversized muscles and veins often grotesque in nature.

It has always been my belief that size, proportion, definition and symmetry must work together. At all times, I trained for my health. I cannot comment on the types of steroids available to athletes today. Researching that topic made my skin crawl particularly when I read a news report that some steroids are laced with “joint- strengthening human growth hormones”. It was difficult to conceive that the weight of those inflamed appendages compromise the very joints that support them. Meanwhile the heart, liver, kidneys and other organs continue to sustain often-irreparable damage that has led to many deaths within the bodybuilding community.

How to use the steroids were learned from a training partner, trainer, or another group using the steroids, thus resulting in bad side effects, but incredible strength gains. Today, there are so many athletes on steroids that are used in all sports by both females and males. Steroids are being used in the early teens to increase performances in school sports. Athletes will do anything to achieve their goals no matter how high the risk is. What kid would give up the chance to make millions in a pro career doing what they want, but might die a bit earlier than expected? For this reason, it is hard for parents and educators to make a youth turn down steroids.

Having trained with Mr. Universe, Mr. America, Mr.USA, Mr. Olympia, USA Olympic weight lifters, Pro Wrestlers, Pro Football players, Collages Football players. I have seen all kind of Cycles 6 weeks 8 week 4 months and years on for those looking to gain mass and strength, “cut” up, women cycles, all Stacking and cycles for those looking to put on lean mass.

When I was in my twenties there was one partner that said at the time “Jesse why not turn Pro and take steroids, you can make a lot of money it makes my wallet fat with $150,000.00 dollars a month”. I said as long as you have to take steroids in sports I would not turn Pro. Every one who knows me knows my stand on stacking Anadrol, Deca Durabolin, Dianabol, Growth Hormone, Horse Growth Hormone, Testosterone Cypionate, Equipoise, Sustanon, Parabolan, Winstrol, Anavar, Clenbuterol, Cytomel, and the rest of steroids that is I will never take them.

I have seen all kinds of side effects, serious liver disease, high blood pressure, and heart disease, heart attacks, burning from the in side, and many more. I could go on all day the things I have seen and heard people in the gym tell me. However, even though anabolic steroids help build muscle, it is not the miracle drug that people tend to believe it is. If you take anabolic steroids, you aren’t going to magically gain 20 pounds of hard lean muscle; it takes a lot more than steroids alone.

All so admitting you’re a bodybuilder and the next question is “do you take steroids?” Unfortunately the public’s perception of bodybuilders is that steroids are needed to build their bodies. In the quest to build muscles yesterday, many bodybuilders, especially competitors resort to steroid abuse. The problem is these bodybuilders never learn to build their bodies without the drugs. The rush to build massive muscles can only result in health hazards.

Solution: Education & Publicity

When the winners of top competitions like Mr. Olympia and the Arnold Classic have more classical, proportionate, non-freaky bodies then the public will be more accepting of the sport. The winners always set the standard in all endeavors, especially in a visual art form like bodybuilding. So when winners look more pleasing, bodybuilding will get more media publicity, and the sport will grow in popularity. My goal is education on how to build the classic proportionate physique.

I continue to remain hopeful that the sport of bodybuilding will come full-circle, as it began so many years ago - when athletes relied upon their own physical prowess and harnessed the human spirit to become champions.

“The circus has become the side show in bodybuilding competitions”

P.S.

How to use the steroids were learned from a training partner, trainer, or another group using the steroids, thus resulting in bad side effects, but incredible strength gains.

Today, there are tons of athletes on steroids, there are used in all sports by both females and males. The majority of users are in their late teens. Steroids are being used in there teens to increase performances in school sports. Athletes will do anything to achieve their goals no matter how high the risk is.

One of the major mistakes women make

Tag: There's Joy on the Gym Floorjerving @ 6:42 pm

One of the major mistakes women make is to assume that a highly effective exercise for bodybuilders is not good for them because they don’t want all that muscle tissue. So they often mistakely settle for an exercise that is more a “women’s” exercise. It’s a terrible waste of time and effort.

We all want to make progress as fast as possible so it makes sense to find exercises that are the most effective. Professional bodybuilders have got this down to a science. Let’s borrow a secret they use to build their arms to attack a major trouble spot on a woman’s body. Then we’ll just use enough of it to trim and firm the back of the arms until they look just like you want them to look. Then all you have to do is just maintain the tone.

The exercise is called the “Free Hand Tricep Extention”

It’s really easy you don’t even need any equipment to do this exercise.

You just lean against the wall with you hands about shoulder width and slowly bend the arms while bending at the waist and lower the body. Keep your head down and bend the arms until the forearms touch the wall. It it’s too easy, step back a little further from the wall. Find a distance thal allows you to do 10-12 reps. Repeat this each day. Start out easy so your arms don’t get too sore. Gradually work up until you are doing 3 sets of 12-15 reps. You should feel a change in the firmness on the back of your arm within one week.

You have to remember, you are first going to get rid of the marbeling of the fat within the muscle. So it’s going to get firm way down inside. Once this marbeling is gone, the fat just under the skin will start to go away as well.

It’s very important to watch your diet carefully and keep your proteins twice as high as your carbohydrates. This will cause your Pancreas to switch from Insulin which stores fat to Glucagon which burns fat. A wonderful tasting meal replacement Product that makes this easy is called Ultra Pro. It has these Protein and Carbohydrate ratios.

Discover The Truth About Training and Nutrition

Old School Bodybuilder

Now that it is 2007. No doubt you’ve seen the claims: “5,000 percent more potent than all other other Protein Drink.” In fact, so many farfetched claims have been made for supplements in recent years-particularly the ones that help you build muscle and lose fat- that people have come to the believe that all supplements are just expensive forms of snake oil. Others echo medical professionals who implore people to get their nutrients only from real food.

It isn’t bad idea to look to food first for your nutrients. The problem is, few people eat a large enough variety of food to meet all nutritional requirements. Dieters limit or eliminate foods that contain vital nutrients. An example is the essential fatty acids: Alpha Linolic acids, Linolic acids, Those who limit fat intake may not eat as much essential fats as they need for health and fitness, it ’s the same with protein you need that extra boost you get in a protein drink.

What is…Essential Oils… An ideal blend of Essential Fatty Acids (EFA”s) Omega 3’s, Alpha Linolic acids, Linolic acids as well as Monosaturated fats… enhanced with… 72 Ionic Trace Minerals.

Why Do You Need Essential Oils

Typical American diets result in extra body fat. Contrary to popular opinion not all fats make us fat. When good fats are added, it boosts the metabolic rate. In other words “good” fats help us stay slim… Furthermore, EFA’s Make the skin soft and supple which slows down wrinkling and dry skin as we age.

What Makes Essential Oils Work So Well.

This proprietary blend of EFA’s are further enhanced by the addition of all 72 naturally occurring Ionic Trace Minerals. Which makes the EFA’s even more effective. Special attention has been given to flavour so the Essential Oils can be used with salads or added to Protein supplements. This helps fatigued muscles recover more rapidly from exercise and exertion.

“Rheo H. Blair and the Secrets of Bodybuilding Nutrition”

Let’s take a trip back in time, September 9, 1965, Brooklyn New York, the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The date and place of the very first Mr. Olympia contest. The “show” belonged to just two bodybuilders, Larry Scott, a blond, handsome, kid from Utah… and the “Myth”, the great Sergio Oliva, the Cuban Colossus from Havana… the most genetically gifted bodybuilder of all time.

It wasn’t even close… Larry kicked his butt, Larry was “Huge” that night! 5’8” 205 pounds of pure granite! But he looked 230, maybe 235 because of his small joints. His legendary “guns” came out blazing… firing the most beautiful and symmetrical arms ever seen. Bicep and triceps bellies blending perfectly together like two loaves of just baked bread!

His delts were just as incredible, all three heads in perfect symmetry… and HUGE! His back was a work of art as well! Traps, rhomboids, lats, erectors… all armor steel thick and in perfect balance! Yeah, the guy everybody said didn’t have the genetics… blew everybody away because he had a secret weapon no one else had back in 1965… Insulin Growth Factor! I’ll get back to this incredible story in a second, but first, if you don’t know exactly what IGF is, please listen closely. IGF is actually what growth hormone is broken down to by the liver… and IGF is what every bodybuilder is really shooting for when he takes growth hormone because it’s the stuff that actually makes you grow. It’s extremely anabolic, much more so than many steroids, and… it causes massive cellular division, which basically means muscles start multiplying themselves. In fact, it’s so powerful as an anabolic agent, pure IGF is sold on the black market and has been used since 1993 by top competitive bodybuilders!1993?? What about Larry, how did he get his hands on this powerful anabolic hormone all the way back in 1965… please keep reading.

“The Secret Of The Movie Stars”

The real story starts in May of 1962, when Larry was training for the Mr. America contest. Larry heard about a guy named Rheo H. Blair from Los Angeles who was a nutritionist for movie stars. Rheo did star “make-overs”, getting them in top shape for movie roles using only nutrition… he didn’t train them, or even encourage them to work out!! Yet the results these stars made was nothing short of staggering.

Rheo told Larry, “everything is chemical” the average guy doesn’t even have to work out if he knows what to take. And what these stars were taking, believe it or not, was one of the most powerful forms of IGF ever created! Yeah, movie stars back in the 1960’s were taking this powerful anabolic hormone almost 40 years before modern day bodybuilders discovered its amazing muscle building effects. No wonder they didn’t have to work out, all that automatic cellular division going on… Rheo wanted to see how ripped and muscular somebody could get… if they actually worked out! You see, what Rheo gave Larry was a very sophisticated protein powder! Rheo never said what was in it, what kind of aminos it had, nothing, only to say it was not denatured by heat. That’s all he would ever tell anybody.

“Needed One Other Ingredient”

The only other thing he told Larry was… you have to add my growth factor potentiator to the formula, Do that and no one will ever have bigger muscles than you! But you must add it or the formula won’t work nearly as well! At first, Larry just drank his protein without the growth factor potentiator… nothing much happened! Finally Larry added Rheo’s secret… and bam, “just like that” he started to grow. A lot bigger and stronger!!

The rest is history! Larry went on to win Mr. Olympia with ease. So, what was Rheo’s secret and more importantly, why did this one simple addition to his formula make Larry so muscular… keep reading!

Now here’s where the story really gets interesting. As you now know, Rheo never revealed what was actually in his protein, only to say it was not denatured, and Larry remembered this for years.

Fast forward to 1990’s. One day while training in Salt Lake City, Larry ran into an old friend he hadn’t seen in almost 10 years. His friend said he had just completed getting his P.H.D. in amino acid research, a light bulb flashed in Larry’s head. He told his friend the entire story about Rheo’s formula and asked him if he would try and replicate it, simply based on the only thing Larry knew about it, that it was not denatured and it made you huge, quick!

Larry’s scientist friend went to work, testing various protein amino acid profiles on lab cultures until he found an amino acid sequence that made the cultures grow like crazy. After about nine months of diligent research he told “Larry, I think I’ve found it, this particular formula is working 10 times better on the cultures than anything else I’ve tried . Give it a try.” But when Larry tried it, it didn’t nearly have the punch as Rheo’s. Then he remembered what Rheo said, “it won’t work nearly as well unless you first add the growth factor potentiator” and he said, “maybe that’s it, maybe that’s why it worked so well.

‘You see the growth factor potentiator actually protects the Insulin Growth Factors in this specially processed whey protein from being destroyed by hydrochloric acid in the stomach.. This is crucial because IGF peptides are very fragile and easily destroyed! So they must be protected by the right processing if you want to reap their huge muscle building benefits.”

Well Larry tried it with the growth factor potentiator and… Baam!…, it was like night and day. he got that same wonderful slug of growth, a huge burst of strength and it happened right now!

So you see, the first step to effectively getting tons of natural IGF is to first use a patented, non-denatured whey, then further protect its fragile IGF’s while they are being metabolized in the body… the reason for Rheo’s insistence on adding the Growth Factor protecting agent! When you do this, you will feel the unparalleled muscle building effects of the most potent anabolic agent known to humanity… IGF!.

So, what was there secret?

Training methods. Whole natural nutrient dense foods and correct ratio of protein, carbohydrates and fats in each meal Nutrition and sleep are the largest part of a healthy body.

What we do, how we play and the foods we eat define our lives. These three practices done well and a good night’s sleep surely follow; done poorly, and it’s nightmares for us.

How would that play out with the fast food industry and those conglomerates selling the junk?

“Fat and Lazy.”
